Original post from 2023-03-05 00:00 There is breakage presently affecting the master rsync source that distributes to all other mirrors.

Users will not be able to get new updates from rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/ or community mirrors until it's resolved: content from mirrors will be stale.

Resolution is pending on sponsor ticket and then fixing the underlying issue (glibc breakage).
